    THE ROLE 

     

    Reporting directly to the COO, this hunter sales role consults with building owners and portfolio managers, to present turn-key risk and restoration services.  This is a financially savvy role, evaluating client’s Internal Rate of Return and Return on Investment potential.

    Purpose of Role:  This is an opportunity for the successful candidate(s) to join the premier food manufacturing company located in the Lehigh Valley, PA and be a part of a very popular food brand.

     

    The primary objective of this position is to effectively supervise a team of maintenance professionals in the daily execution of work orders, project management and check sheets. The Maintenance Supervisor will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    The Maintenance Supervisor's specific duties will include the following:

    • Schedules and supervises the work as arranged through the Maintenance Planner to maintain equipment to meet production requirements.
    • Oversees the work performed by maintenance crews and outside contractors as required for each job to ensure completion in a timely and quality manner. 
    • Manages any urgent or breakdown jobs as required to keep equipment running and minimize downtime.
    • Provides development of direct reports and motivates staff resulting in a reliable and competent work force.
    • Provides technical assistance to maintenance personnel toward expedient problem resolution.
    • Execution of these specific duties will be achieved through the following:
      • Schedule, assign, plan and monitor the work of maintenance shop personnel.
      • Coordinates with the Maintenance Planner by communicating anticipated jobs and provides input when stores stocks need to be increased or altered, for upcoming jobs to maintain maintenance schedules.
      • Determines appropriate training for employees and by evaluating their skills, abilities, safety practices and behavior to maintain the necessary skills to perform their jobs.
      • Plans the schedules of the staff including assigning work and overtime as required to meet maintenance needs.
    • Ensure the application of the plant’s rules, policies, and health & safety protocols during maintenance procedures to minimize injuries and lost time incidents. 
    • Provide ongoing maintenance support to the plant for all shifts.
    • Must be willing to work weekends and after hours for supervision of emergency repairs as needed.
    • Ensure that Maintenance department tools and equipment are in good working condition and that adequate stocks of consumables are maintained to allow maintenance activities to occur as scheduled.
    • Continuously seek ways to improve the maintenance of the plant.
    • Willingness to provide coverage during off-shift hour and weekends as required.

     

    Qualifications Required for the Position:

    • 5+ years of mechanical repair and maintenance experience
    • Prior supervisory experience preferred
    • Prior experience working with food and beverage machinery and equipment
    • Demonstrated ability to lead others with or without direct authority
    • Working knowledge of a CMMS system
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including MS Excel, Word and Outlook
    • Ability to anticipate and adapt to changing situations
    • Ability to perform tasks that include walking, climbing equipment, working within confined spaces and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to troubleshoot electrical controls systems
    • Ability to communicate thru the plant e-mail system
    • Ability to TIG and MIG weld

    Education:

    • Associate Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Technologies (preferred)
    • HS diploma and Vocational training

    Overall Responsibility:

    As a DFx Engineer you will be responsible for defining and implementing good practice into the designs from DFx analysis. You will be a key member of the product introduction team and will perform analysis of the PCBA designs to support improving manufacturability and testing. This role requires somebody who knows how to be meticulous in their assessment of how boards can be assembled, and feel comfortable interfacing with our customers to let them know the right way to set up their CAD. This position will need to know the current struggles, inefficiencies, and lack of modern tools for circuit board manufacturing and test, and have ideas to how to solve those problems.

     

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Work with the design engineering to identify and escalate manufacturing challenges by enforcing DFx principles
    • Routinely analyzes performance data and incorporates improvements into DFx Guidelines.
    • Design for Fabrication: Being the check of customer designs to ensure that our fab houses could produce the boards
    • Design for Assembly: Check that we could assemble the boards with no defects and high yields
    • Design for Test: Validate the test access is adequate to support the required test strategy
    • Develop manufacturing process, including defining fixture requirements, critical dimensions on parts and critical requirements in the fabrication/assembling process
    • During pre-production builds, drive all factory-related operational issues related to SMT, sub-assembly and final assembly processes; ensure effective closure to enable operational success of the new product introduction cycle, and bring products into volume production
    • Work within Operations and Engineering departments to implement and optimize manufacturing 1st pass yields and efficiency from prototype through product ramp
    • Support quality improvement, cost reduction and sustaining activities
    • Assures that customer and company standards are being met.
    • Travel to suppliers and customers as required.
    • Must be an ITAR Compliant US Person.

     Education/Certifications:

    • BS Degree in a related Engineering discipline preferred.
    • Lean and/or Six Sigma Certification preferred.

     Experience:

    • Has 3+ years’ experience doing DFx analysis
    • Must have excellent problem solving skills and possess good analytical, verbal and written communication skills
    • Must have solid process engineering experience in the printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) industry in a high-reliability environment; contract manufacturing experience a plus.
    • Experience with assembly jig and fixture design for part fabrication and assembling
    • Experience using DFx and CAD software – 3D Modeling, AutoCAD, Valor, Cadence, Aegis CircuitCam
    • Understands Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Test (DFT) and PCB fabrication processes
    • Ability to understand electrical schematics
    • Strong knowledge of PCB design technologies including high speed, high impedance and high voltage layout
    • Reflective and inventive - knowing the constraints and problems with DFM process, and have ideas to improve it
    • Strong organizational and communication skills - written and verbal
    • Must demonstrate flexibility, self-direction, and self-discipline to plan and accomplish objectives and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
