Purpose of role:
This position is for a scale-up chemical engineer (i.e. a combination project / process engineer with 7+ years’ experience) working closely with the laboratory, engineering, operations and commercial groups. The candidate will be able to perform all duties consistent with new product development activities that drive new profitable products toward commercialization. includes working with chemists in the lab to screen synthesis routes and evaluate various unit operations for scale-up. The candidate will serve as the technical lead for stage gated projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing project proposals that include a detailed scope description, PFD, P&IDs, and cost estimates,
- Preparing concept drawings, and a timeline or schedule for a project.
- Leading Design Hazard reviews,
- Working closely with vendors and contractors on design and fabrication during project execution
- Routinely documenting results and giving oral presentations on the project(s) status as required
- Detailed tracking of project spending and identifying continuous improvement opportunities is necessary
- Leading efforts to upgrade existing processes and contribute to the development of new product offerings
- Working directly with the commercial group and direct contact with customers
Position Qualifications and Requirements:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required

- Familiarity with the operation of reactors, centrifuges, sublimers, cyrstallizers, distillation, adsorption, VSA/PSAs, refrigeration & heating systems, and containers of various designs to deliver electronic materials

The Electrical Engineer will work in our office and remotely with teams of architects and electrical/mechanical engineers to design technical solutions to meet our client’s business needs. The successful candidate will integrate work with our other licensed engineers and team members to design power, lighting, emergency/standby power systems, and fire alarm systems for new and existing buildings in our MEP market projects. Responsibilities include:

- Field walk down of client sites, equipment, and panels
