Partner | Banking
Stephanie Maas is a Partner within the Commercial Banking and Commercial Finance Team and leads the Mid-Atlantic practice.
Stephanie was recruited to ThinkingAhead to lead the Mid-Atlantic region where she has continued to thrive in building this niche. Year after year, she is one of ThinkingAhead’s top producers.
Stephanie is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a B.S. in Business Administration. She also holds the Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) designation, and was named Partner in 2007.
Stephanie is active in several non-profit organizations, including: Habitat for Humanity, Avon Breast Cancer Foundation, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Room at the Inn, YCAP, and the Martha O’Bryan Center. She lives in Nashville with her husband and their three children.
Recently, I had the opportunity to partner with an outside search firm and chose to work with Stephanie. I chose Stephanie for several years. One: she had been calling on me and sharing with me her insights into my market for years. So, I knew she knew my market and I trusted she knew the right people. Secondly, Stephanie had a reputation of being both professional and in touch with the right talent-the talent we hoped to attract and hire. Lastly, I chose Stephanie because she delivers. In the tight-niche market of commercial banking, I knew of several of Stephanie’s previous placements and they were top notch talent. I wanted her to do the same for us-bring us the top notch talent.
We had looked at several candidates from various sources before we partnered with Stephanie. We were frustrated and losing hope that we could find what we needed. Stephanie not only delivered the right talent, but she did it quickly, efficiently, and professionally. The candidates we saw were qualified, interested, and affordable. Stephanie never tried to “sell” us on anyone person, but rather presented us a slate of well-screened candidates and let us decide who we believed would be the best fit; then, she helps us make sure we could actually get them. Now, we have found the person we needed, transitioned them into the organization, and are so thankful.
I have found that Stephanie always works in our best interest by taking the time to understand our organization: covering both what we need from a skill set and who we need to fit in culturally. As a result, she provides us with qualified candidates who often represent the top tier talent in our industry.
