Position Overview:
As a Fire Sprinkler Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive bids for new installations, retrofits, and system modifications. You’ll work directly with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure bids meet code requirements and client expectations.

As a Fire Sprinkler Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive bids for new installations, retrofits, and system modifications. You’ll work directly with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure bids meet code requirements and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze drawings, specs, and project documents to generate accurate cost estimates
- Perform material take-offs and labor calculations
- Source and manage pricing from vendors and subcontractors
- Prepare detailed bid proposals with scope, pricing, and timelines
- Ensure estimates align with NFPA codes and local jurisdiction requirements
- Support preconstruction efforts, including value engineering and cost control strategies
- Maintain cost databases and participate in continuous estimating process improvement
- Collaborate across departments to ensure clear handoff from estimating to operations
- 3+ years of fire protection estimating or fire sprinkler system experience
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and fire system components
- Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Comfortable interpreting blueprints and project specs
- NICET certification preferred, not required
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus
- Base salary: $80,000 – $120,000 (commensurate with experience)
