Inside Sales Representative - Orion Power Systems
Location: Jacksonville, FL (Onsite)
Compensation: Base salary of $46,000 + uncapped commission | Top performers earn $125K–$150K once fully ramped

About the Company
Orion Power Systems is a Jacksonville-based manufacturer of battery backup and UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems that protect critical business infrastructure. Their products support IT systems, servers, telecom, security systems, and other environments where downtime is not an option. The company is in growth mode and looking to add a high-energy sales professional who is comfortable building business through outbound activity, relationship development, and consistent follow-through.
About the Opportunity
This is an on-site inside sales role focused on growing revenue through outbound prospecting, account management, and relationship building. The role is heavily phone-based, especially early on, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-activity sales environment. You will inherit some existing accounts and inbound opportunities, but success in this role comes from creating activity, opening new accounts, and consistently building a territory over time. This is not a passive order-taking position. Orion is looking for someone hungry, coachable, resilient, and motivated by long-term earning potential.
What They’re Looking For
• Experience in outbound sales, telemarketing, door-to-door, solar, pest control, or other high-volume prospecting environments
• Comfortable making cold calls and handling rejection daily
• Strong work ethic, consistency, and reliability
• Professional phone presence and communication skills
• Ability to open new accounts and grow existing business relationships
• Someone who is coachable and wants to build a long-term sales career
• Ability to pass a background check
• Some colleges preferred
• Basic computer skills, including email, Word, and Excel
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Cold call IT managers at government and commercial accounts
• Prospect new customers and develop new business opportunities
• Grow revenue within existing customer accounts
• Present Orion’s product line and educate customers on solutions
• Quote products and manage follow-up activity
• Build long-term customer relationships
• Work closely with leadership during onboarding and training
Training & Support
New hires complete a two-week technical training program and receive hands-on support from leadership. The onboarding process is designed to help new team members understand both the product line and how to successfully approach the market. While the initial ramp takes time, the company believes strongly in developing people who are willing to put in the activity and stay consistent.
