Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer
A well-established and highly regarded industrial automation and process control solutions provider is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its engineering team. This organization partners with leading manufacturers and serves a diverse client base across industries including oil & gas, chemical processing, power generation, food & beverage, mining & metals, life sciences, pulp & paper, refining, petrochemical, OEM, and nuclear.

Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and execute customer requirements in compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, NEC) across industrial environments
- Develop electrical designs including:
- Grounding systems
- Heat tracing systems
- Lighting layouts
- Control panel layouts
- Single-line and three-line diagrams (low voltage systems)
- Perform cable tray and conduit sizing calculations
- Support commissioning activities and provide post-startup technical support
- Participate in on-call rotation and support 24/7 customer service requirements
- Contribute to preventive maintenance programs and emergency response efforts
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- 7+ years of relevant experience in industrial or process control environments
- Proven ability to design, develop, and test electrical systems and components
- Solid understanding of process control fundamentals
- Strong application of engineering and mathematical principles in system design
- Experience conducting technical research and implementing design improvements
- Ability to mentor or guide junior engineers
- Strong client-facing communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel (including occasional overnight travel)
- Ability to participate in on-call support rotations
- Collaboration: Works effectively across teams to solve problems and drive outcomes
- Customer Focus: Demonstrates a proactive approach to understanding and meeting client needs
- Integrity: Acts with accountability, professionalism, and ethical responsibility
