Orlando Museum of Art | Development Manager

About the Orlando Museum of Art

Founded in 1924, the Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) is a cultural anchor for Central Florida and a museum built by and for its community. For more than a century, OMA has brought people together through art—creating opportunities to encounter new ideas, see the world from different perspectives, and engage their own creativity.

Located in Orlando’s Loch Haven Park, OMA is the region’s flagship independent art museum and an American Alliance of Museums–accredited institution. Its collection of more than 3,300 works spans Contemporary Art, American Art, African Art, and the Art of the Ancient Americas, while a dynamic schedule of exhibitions brings local, national, and international perspectives to the museum and the broader community. Each year, OMA welcomes more than 150,000 visitors and reaches thousands more through education, outreach, and community programs.

OMA believes that art has the power to spark curiosity, expand understanding, and enrich lives. Its programs invite people of all ages and backgrounds into that experience—from exhibitions and lectures to studio workshops, family programs, school partnerships, and initiatives designed to make the museum accessible to people with a wide range of abilities and experiences.

As OMA looks toward its next century, the museum is building on a strong legacy while continuing to evolve as a place for artistic engagement, education, and community connection. Its mission is simple and ambitious: to stimulate creativity and intellectual curiosity by connecting people from all backgrounds and experiences with compelling art and new ideas.

For a leader joining OMA at this moment, the opportunity is to help sustain and grow an institution with deep roots in Central Florida while expanding its reach, strengthening its relationships, and advancing the role of art in the life of the community.
