Sr. SBA Closer

About the Opportunity
Our Client is a well-established financial institution with an active SBA and government-guaranteed lending platform. We are seeking an experienced VP, SBA Senior Closer to manage the end-to-end closing process for assigned loan transactions and serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers from approval through funding.
What You'll Do

• Coordinate all aspects of SBA loan closings, from reviewing Credit Approval Memos through final funding and post-closing exception resolution
• Serve as the main contact for borrowers and all related parties, delivering superior service throughout each transaction
• Collect, review, and validate all required SBA, bank, and loan-specific documentation prior to closing
• Prepare closing documents, perfect required liens, and coordinate with outside counsel as needed
• Submit funding requests per internal policy and maintain complete file documentation in the bank's retention system
• Deliver weekly pipeline updates to management and participate in ongoing SBA and regulatory continuing education

What You Bring

• 5–7 years of direct SBA loan closing experience required — general mortgage or commercial lending experience alone does not qualify
• Strong working knowledge of SBA SOP requirements, banking regulations, and lien perfection
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Etran, and bank document preparation software
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and written/verbal communication
• Proven ability to manage multiple closings simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and compliance
