FHA Multifamily Loan Originator

Very well established, family-owned company with experience providing vertically integrated property and financial services throughout the United States. Specifically, services include multi-family residential and commercial property management, acquisition, development, debt and equity commercial financing and residential mortgage banking services.
  
We are seeking an FHA Multifamily Loan Originator to join the team. This is a growth position. The FHA Originator will be responsible for sourcing and originating FHA financing opportunities, and will be an integral part of the growth and development of our FHA Multifamily financing platform.  The candidate will be expected to prospect for potential loans, and assist with the structuring, credit analysis, due diligence, application processing and loan closing.  They will also be responsible for establishing a market presence and for the development and maintenance of a referral network that generates a pipeline of new loan opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and evaluate FHA/HUD multifamily loan financing opportunities
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of loan products and provide market intelligence to maintain a competitive advantage
  • Leverage existing contacts and prospect for new borrower relationships to build a sustainable book of business of potential financing opportunities
  • Structure multifamily, healthcare, and commercial mortgage loans through our wide array of lending products
  • Complete initial loan reviews to determine project feasibility based on the credit parameters of the applicable loan program
  • Successfully guide borrower clients from loan engagement through underwriting to closing of the loan
  • Coordinate the FHA/HUD mortgage loan process with internal team members
  • Participate in professional organizations to gain visibility
  • Provide innovative strategic financing alternatives for the firm's current and prospective clients 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Real Estate, preferred
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in commercial real estate lending
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and fundamental understanding of real estate valuation and loan underwriting
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task while under pressure
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel when necessary
