Credit Analyst 3 - Oklahoma City

Credit Analyst III – Oklahoma City Metro Area | Full-Time | On-Site

I'm currently working with a fantastic bank that is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst for a position in the Oklahoma City Metro. This is a well-established, community-focused institution with a culture built on sound, relationship-driven banking. They're looking for an experienced credit professional to play a critical role supporting their commercial lending team.

The Role
This is a senior-level credit analyst position responsible for underwriting and monitoring credit risk across a commercial loan portfolio. You'll work closely with commercial lenders and executive leadership, bring strong independent judgment to complex credits, and help elevate the work of junior analysts through mentorship and review.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-depth analysis of business financials, tax returns, and cash flow statements to support commercial credit decisions
  • Evaluate and underwrite complex commercial relationships, primarily those exceeding $1 million, across a range of loan types including CRE, construction, C&I, and healthcare
  • Keep deal flow moving by managing your pipeline with efficiency and sound prioritization
  • Partner with lending officers to build well-structured loans that stay within policy guidelines
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to junior analysts — reviewing their work and helping sharpen their skills
  • Conduct appraisal reviews and contribute to the ongoing refinement of internal lending policy
  • Collaborate directly with senior leadership on credit-related initiatives and special projects
Qualifications
  • 6+ years in commercial credit, loan review, or portfolio management with demonstrated ability to underwrite complex deals independently
  • Deep understanding of financial statement analysis across multiple accounting bases — GAAP, cash, and tax
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of commercial loan types including income-producing and owner-occupied real estate, construction, and specialty sectors like healthcare
  • A sharp eye for detail balanced with the ability to make clear, well-reasoned credit decisions under pressure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA a plus

Why This Role? A high-impact analyst seat at a financially strong, respected Oklahoma institution — where your expertise will shape credit quality, mentor the next generation of analysts, and contribute directly to sound, strategic lending decisions.
