Location: Cumming, GA (On-Site)
Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 base + up to 20% bonus
Overview
A well-established industrial services organization is seeking a Structural Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on evaluating, analyzing, and improving existing structures across heavy industrial environments.
This is not a traditional design role. The team is brought in when structures need to be assessed, issues identified, and solutions developed. The work is highly consultative, field-influenced, and centered around real-world problem solving.
This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity with direct impact on both engineering operations and project execution.
What You'll Be Doing

Lead and mentor a team of Structural Engineers and junior staff
Oversee structural assessments, inspections, and analysis of existing structures
Identify deficiencies and develop practical remediation solutions
Review and approve engineering reports and technical documentation
Provide technical guidance on complex structural challenges
Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
Collaborate with internal teams on project execution and client deliverables
Help improve processes, reporting consistency, and overall engineering standards

What They're Looking For

Strong background in Structural Engineering
Experience working with existing structures (inspections, assessments, or failure analysis)
Ability to lead or step into a leadership role
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a client-facing environment
Experience mentoring engineers or leading projects

Preferred Background

Industrial environments such as:
- Power plants
- Cement facilities
- Paper mills
- Heavy manufacturing
Experience with:
- Structural deficiencies and remediation
- Inspection and reporting
- Structural analysis tools (RISA, STAAD, ETABS, etc.)
PE license (or on track to obtain)
