Project Accountant

�� $90,000 - $95,000 Base Salary
A well-established commercial construction company is looking to bring on a Project Accountant to support active projects and work directly alongside Project Managers and leadership. This is a stable, long-term opportunity with a strong pipeline of work and a team-oriented environment.
The Role
This position is responsible for managing the financial side of construction projects from start to finish. You'll play a key role in billing, job cost tracking, and overall project financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle project accounting for multiple active jobs
- Prepare and process monthly AIA billings
- Track job costs, budgets, and financial progress of each project
- Handle subcontractor pay applications and job-related AP/AR
- Maintain accurate project financial records and documentation
- Support month-end close and reporting processes
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure financial accuracy and project success
- Participate in project review and closeout meetings
What They're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Accountant working for a General Contractor (GC)
- Strong understanding of construction accounting processes (AIA billing, WIP, job costing)
- Experience working on multiple projects at once
- Proven stability and tenure in past roles
- U.S.-based construction experience required
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with ComputerEase or similar construction accounting software
- Familiarity with Procore
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reporting)
