Construction Manager - Horizontal Multifamily

Overview
We are seeking a Construction Manager to oversee the execution of a growing pipeline of horizontal multifamily developments in the Upstate South Carolina market. This role will play a key part in driving site operations, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
This is a hands-on leadership position with direct responsibility for field execution and coordination across all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily on-site construction activities from mobilization through completion
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure productivity and quality
- Develop, maintain, and drive project schedules to meet deadlines
- Monitor and manage project budgets, costs, and forecasting
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Conduct site walks, track progress, and proactively address delays or issues
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals
- Maintain project documentation, reporting, and communication across teams
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction experience, preferably in multifamily or site development
- Proven ability to manage field operations and lead crews/subcontractors
- Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and sequencing
- Experience with budgeting, cost control, and project tracking
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Preferred Background
- Experience with horizontal or garden-style multifamily projects
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
