Traveling PEMB Construction Project Manager - Remote
We are working with the VP of Construction at a nationally recognized design build contractor based in Northern California specializing in steel building construction across commercial and industrial markets throughout the United States. We're hiring for a Traveling Pre-Engineered Metal Building Construction Project Manager to play a critical role in construction execution, partnering with sales and estimating early in the project lifecycle and taking full ownership of project delivery. This includes oversight of organization, budgeting, scheduling, and execution to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities
- Drive project goals, timelines, and deliverables
- Review contracts, scope, budget, and schedules for full project alignment
- Analyze drawings and specs, resolve conflicts, and manage change orders
- Identify priorities and assess cost and operational impacts
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials with internal teams
- Manage subcontracts, purchase orders, and subcontractor compliance
- Lead preconstruction and coordination meetings
- Oversee project financials including billing, approvals, and cost tracking
- Perform cost analysis across labor, materials, equipment, and subs
- Ensure licenses, documentation, and compliance requirements are met
- Lead project closeout including walkthroughs and punch lists
- Provide strategic input to ensure successful project delivery
- Oversee structural systems including frames, columns, rafters, and endwalls
- Manage secondary framing including purlins, girts, and bracing
- Coordinate building envelope systems including roof, wall panels, and trim
- Ensure installation of accessories including insulation, doors, windows, and ventilation systems
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of project management experience in structural steel or pre engineered metal building construction
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Experience managing budgets, contracts, schedules of values, and change orders
- Experience with negotiated work, alternative delivery methods, and joint ventures
- Ability to coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and field teams
- Strong understanding of pre engineered metal building systems and turnkey delivery
- Proficient in reading construction drawings and specifications
- Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Smartsheet a plus
- Experience with Sage 300 or similar construction accounting systems
- Valid driver's license
- OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain
