We are representing an employee-owned public accounting firm seeking a Client Lead at the Senior Manager level. This is a highly visible, client-facing role designed for a CPA who wants to lead relationships, advise business owners, and connect tax and accounting to real-time business decisions.
This is not a traditional Senior Manager role. The position offers partner-level scope, autonomy, and client ownership without the administrative burden and internal constraints often found in larger firms. You will serve as the primary advisor to clients, leading conversations, providing real-time guidance, and driving meaningful business outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Lead recurring and strategic client meetings including financial reviews and business planning discussions
- Serve as the primary advisor, addressing tax and accounting matters in real time
- Connect tax implications to broader business and operational decisions
- Identify risks, issues, and planning opportunities across client engagements
- Partner with internal teams to ensure execution and follow-through
- Engage specialists when appropriate while maintaining ownership of the client relationship
- Active CPA with a strong tax and accounting foundation
- Proven ability to lead client relationships and serve as the face of the firm
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate clearly in real time
- Sound professional judgment, knowing when to provide immediate answers versus deeper analysis
- Genuine interest in client interaction and relationship building
- True client ownership and leadership responsibility
