Full Job Description

Seeking a Project Manager to lead electrical construction projects from contract award through closeout. Project Managers take full ownership of their work, managing budgets, schedules, client relationships, and coordination with field teams, while playing a key role in maintaining and growing long‑term customer partnerships.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility, autonomy, and accountability. Project Managers truly run their own book of business and see the direct impact of their decisions.
  
What You’ll Do
  • Manage electrical construction projects from start to finish
  • Own project financials including budgets, forecasts, margins, billings, and production rates
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, and internal teams
  • Coordinate closely with field crews, estimating, purchasing, accounting, and leadership
  • Review and approve RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and client invoices
  • Track project performance and proactively identify risks related to cost, schedule, or scope
  • Support business development efforts through client relationships, add‑on work, and bid reviews
  • Ensure projects meet company standards for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Act as a liaison to maintain clear communication between the field, office, vendors, and clients
  
Project Manager Levels Project Managers are hired at different levels based on experience and demonstrated capability. Final placement will be determined during the hiring process.

Junior Project Manager / Project Engineer IV Assists with managing projects while developing skills and industry knowledge. Typically supports or manages projects totaling approximately $2–5M annually.

Project Manager Independently manages electrical projects totaling approximately $7–10M annually and contributes to company sales growth.

Senior Project Manager Manages multiple or complex projects with larger budgets ($10–20M annually), provides strategic direction, and mentors junior project staff.

Director of Project Management Oversees project management strategy and practices across the organization, manages project portfolios, and leads the hiring and development of PM staff.
  
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of project or administrative experience in the construction or electrical industry
  • Strong understanding of project costs, billing, and percentage‑of‑completion tracking
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts, drawings, and technical documents
  • Strong communication skills with field crews, customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Highly organized, self‑directed, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Estimating experience is a strong plus
  
Technology Skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Comfortable using mobile devices and learning ERP systems
