Senior Mechanical Estimator
Location: Phoenix, AZ (In-Office)
Compensation: $120,000-$130,000+ DOE

About the Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to join a Phoenix-based mechanical contracting team. This person will lead estimating efforts on complex mechanical projects ($50M+), working closely with company leadership to prepare accurate, competitive bids. The right candidate will have strong MEP estimating experience and advanced FastEst proficiency.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed cost estimates for large-scale mechanical projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify scope and materials.
• Prepare comprehensive take-offs, labor analyses, and project budgets.
• Lead bid reviews, value engineering, and scope clarifications.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Purchasing during project turnover.
• Maintain and enhance estimating databases and cost libraries.
• Mentor junior estimators and assist in setting bid strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years (10+ preferred) of mechanical estimating experience.
• Software: Proficient with FastEst, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Project Experience: Commercial and institutional mechanical projects over $50M.
• Skills: Analytical, mathematical, and organizational precision.
• Location: Must work on-site in Phoenix, AZ (no remote option).
