Chief Revenue Officer

Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)
 
Location: Chattanooga, TN

Position Summary The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) will be a results-oriented and strategic leader responsible for all revenue-generating activities. This executive will develop and execute strategies to drive sustainable revenue growth and expand our market presence, ensuring alignment between our mission-driven lending and our financial goals. The CRO will oversee the entire revenue lifecycle, from new client acquisition to portfolio growth and retention. This role reports directly to the President and works closely with the senior leadership team.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Revenue Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive revenue strategy that supports the mission and growth objectives.
  • Market Expansion: Identify new market opportunities, segments, and partnerships to expand the reach of the firm's loan products, including CDFI, SBA, and New Markets Tax Credit programs.
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) Execution: Lead the execution of the go-to-market strategy for new and existing financial products and services, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all channels.
  • Leadership and Team Building: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance team focused on business development and strategic partnerships.
  • Financial Performance: Take ownership of revenue targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting on revenue performance to the executive team and board.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Nurture and expand relationships with commercial lenders, banks, and other community partners to drive referrals and collaborations.
  • Customer Journey Optimization: Work to optimize the entire customer lifecycle, from initial outreach to loan closing and long-term client success, ensuring an excellent client experience.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed on financial industry and market trends, particularly within the small business lending and economic development sectors.
 Required Skills and Qualifications
 
  • Experience:10+ years of progressive leadership experience in revenue-focused roles, such as sales leadership, business development, or corporate finance.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated ability to drive significant revenue growth and expand market share, ideally within the financial services or fintech industry.
  • Financial Expertise: Strong financial acumen with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and optimizing financial products.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Proficiency in using data analytics to inform strategic decisions and measure performance.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to build, inspire, and align teams toward a common goal.
  • Communication:  Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate a high-level vision into actionable and measurable plans.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
