About Heather Campbell, CPC
Heather Campbell is a Partner and Executive Recruiter in the Nonprofit Practice at ThinkingAhead Executive Search. Since joining the firm in 2019, she has built a reputation for her thoughtful and strategic approach to identifying mission-aligned leaders who advance organizational growth and long-term impact. Her work has supported a wide range of nonprofits, from those advancing human and women’s rights to organizations dedicated to conservation, education, and the natural world.
Heather’s interest in animal and aquatic life began early; she still remembers the National Geographic wildlife pamphlets she pored over as a child and the two goldfish she cared for through more than a decade. That same curiosity and dedication now fuel her commitment to partnering with organizations that inspire learning, foster stewardship, and connect people to the planet we share.
Prior to joining ThinkingAhead, Heather worked in marketing and business development, where she honed her ability to build relationships, understand organizational dynamics, and help teams grow strategically. Today, she applies that same insight to every executive search, serving as a trusted advisor to boards and hiring leaders navigating critical transitions.
Living in South Minneapolis, Heather is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys road biking, camping, and hiking. She brings the same energy for personal growth and community building into her work, believing in continual self-development and spreading kindness. Heather’s collaborative approach is centered around learning from clients and empowering the candidates she engages with. Heather holds a B.S. in Business Administration: Marketing and Management from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN.
