About Tim Knight, CPC
Tim is the Vice President of ThinkingAhead where he is responsible for operations, recruiting, and training for the firm. He also works with the partners and leaders of four practice areas for ThinkingAhead and maintains a portfolio of clients he works with today in the commercial banking and commercial finance space.
He was responsible for building and growing the Commercial Banking and Commercial Finance Team to the largest and highest-producing team in the firm. Currently there are eleven professionals in that team focusing on client opportunities in commercial banking, commercial finance, specialty lending, equipment leasing, private client services, restructuring/turnaround management, and commercial real estate finance.
The Commercial Banking and Commercial Finance Team recruits professionals for roles in operations, audit, credit, underwriting, portfolio management, business development, crisis management, restructuring and transaction advisory services and senior management nationwide on a retained and contingency basis.
In 2019, Tim began his twenty-third year in executive search. Prior to joining ThinkingAhead, he was with Southwestern Advantage as a District Sales Manager recruiting and training salespeople. Including his college summers, Tim has been with Southwestern/Great American for thirty-five years.
Tim is a member of The Turnaround Management Association, a networking group dedicated to lenders and service providers in the turnaround market. He is a Certified Personnel Consultant and a past member of the Pinnacle Society, the nation’s premier consortium of top executive search professionals in the country.
Tim is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a B.A. in Business. He is the past Chairman of the United Way Campaign for Southwestern and is the past President of the Board of Directors of the Williamson County Habitat for Humanity and a Junior Achievement volunteer.
