We're supporting a Detroit‑based industrial contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex mechanical/electrical/industrial projects from pre‑construction through closeout. This is a senior‑level role with long‑term growth potential for someone who can run the work, manage clients, and drive field execution.
 
Responsibilities

• Full project ownership from kickoff through turnover
• Manage schedules, budgets, manpower, subcontractors, and field coordination
• Lead client communication, progress meetings, and issue resolution
• Oversee procurement, change orders, cost tracking, and documentation
• Ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met
• Partner with field leadership to drive daily execution
• Support estimating, pre‑planning, and project strategy as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Project Manager in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or heavy commercial construction
• Experience with manufacturing plants, millwright work, rigging, or industrial facilities is a plus
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, and field operations
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams
• Solid communication and client‑facing skills
