Sr. Electrical Estimator (Mission Critical)

Position: Senior Electrical Estimator
Connecticut's leader in mission-critical electrical services, is looking for a motivated professional to join the team to focus on estimating new electrical installation projects.
Responsibilities:

• Lead estimating efforts for commercial electrical projects, including healthcare and mission-critical facilities
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, take-offs, and bid proposals for projects ranging from mid-size to large-scale
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, and Leadership on bid strategy and project approach
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies
• Maintain and update estimating databases and historical cost data
• Support handoff meetings to ensure seamless transition from estimating to operations

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial construction
• Strong experience with large-scale and/or mission-critical projects (healthcare experience highly preferred)
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ConEst or similar platforms)
• Deep understanding of electrical systems, materials, labor, and construction methods
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
• Electrical License a plus
