Tax Manager- Dallas TX
This opportunity is with a progressive, midsized, full service Certified Public Accounting and Integrated Wealth Management firm headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Established in the late 1980s, the firm has built a strong reputation for delivering proactive tax, accounting, and advisory services to high net worth individuals, families, and privately held businesses throughout the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex and nationwide.
In addition to its public accounting practice, the organization operates an affiliated wealth management platform that provides comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services. Together, the firm delivers an integrated suite of services including tax compliance, consulting, investment management, family office services, and retirement plan advisory.
The firm serves a diverse client base including high net worth individuals, closely held businesses, and healthcare professionals, providing tailored advisory solutions designed to support both personal and business financial objectives.
Due to continued organic growth, the firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join its Dallas office. This role provides leadership across complex tax engagements including preparation and review of partnership, S corporation, individual, and fiduciary tax returns while serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
The Tax Manager will play a key role in supervising engagements, mentoring staff, and supporting practice development initiatives while working closely with firm leadership in a collaborative, client focused environment.

Reports to: Tax Partner
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional client service
- Prepare and review complex tax returns including Forms 1065, 1120S, 1040, and 1041
- Prepare and review tax estimates and projections for individual and business clients
- Research and interpret complex tax issues and apply solutions to client specific situations
- Provide technical guidance on tax planning strategies and compliance matters
- Supervise tax engagements and special assignments in accordance with firm policies and procedures
- Review work prepared by staff accountants and provide coaching and development feedback
- Maintain high attention to detail throughout the tax preparation and review process
- Collaborate with partners and firm leadership on client advisory matters
- Participate in practice development initiatives including expanding services to existing clients
- Identify opportunities to improve engagement processes and enhance client service delivery
- Support firm initiatives and additional projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Active CPA license required
- Five to seven years of public accounting tax experience
- Experience preparing and reviewing partnership, S corporation, individual, and fiduciary tax returns
- Strong technical knowledge of federal tax compliance and planning concepts
- Experience supervising staff and reviewing engagement workpapers
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills
- Professional presence with leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with technology including Excel and QuickBooks
